Cement Fiber Board VS Versa - WPC Planks
Versa is a high density and high strength
material that is non-brittle, unlike cement boards that damage easily and
require regular painting. Listed below are a few differences between cement
fiber boards and WPC planks.
Aesthetic
Look
Today, WPC planks are a popular choice of
building material, all because of its inherent characteristics of natural wood
aesthetics. The cement boards look plain when compared to the WPC planks.
Surface Treatment
Only one surface treatment can be carried
out on cement boards, which is painting, you can't Laminate it nor you can
apply Veneer on it. Cement boards are very heavy in weight. In fact, they
almost have 3 times more density than WPC planks. So, when a heavy product is
used for any application in a building then it leads to an increase in the
overall Dead Load weight of the building which is not recommended.
Hardware
Feasibility
Normal hardware that is used in WPC planks
cannot be used in the cement boards as their weight is very high. If you want
to fix hinges on the cement boards then the hinges which are required are
enormously expensive and they have to have a weight load capacity which can
bear the weight of the cement board's shutters, which is impossible.
Workability
Whenever you choose a building material you
should always have the workability in mind. Make sure the material is
worker-friendly. WPC planks are carpenter friendly products and can be cut
using a normal hand saw without any problem.
Time
Consuming
Last but not the least, you can't use the
cement boards directly in the carcass, wardrobe, vanity, kitchen, etc. Hence,
you will need to carry out surface treatment on it. WPC planks,
on the other hand, are very glossy in nature and it can be used anywhere which
will consume less time.
